finally an update! i knew this would happen! too lazy to update! …. that’s also coz i dont want to make this blog too bitter hahaha. if u want me to update diligently, most of the things would be angry bitter stuff. shit! don’t tell me it’s back to the mediacorp days where everyday was dreadful for me?? no la, it’s still KINDA better i guess….. but i have never been in any company as messy, as fucked up (maybe mediacorp yes), as not ready to launch when we are just 16 days away from launch date. and this date has been the “n” one they postponed to. i know everyone told me, it’s not as hard as you had imagined. 各位觀眾, IT IS. and might even be worse than what i imagined. the person who hired me told me to imagine the worst, and multiply it by 10. and he’s kinda right. my current (small) team of 4, needs to do the work of THREE freakin’ departments’ in Singapore. and we are smaller than any of these three departments. we need to prepare channel bugs, program bugs, crawler templates, promos, promo gfx, program gfx, studio broadcast gfx etc. and i need to know what everyone’s doing. my brain feels like it’s gonna explode any moment. and worst of all, my boss is super buay gan. i know everyone’s busy, everyone’s multitasking, so just deliver the right things, learn the right stuff, be more competent please..??? ok enough complaints for this post. more war to fight tmr. can’t wait for the mid autumn break next week and seriously can’t wait for the channels to launch (successfully)! oh in other news, the weather seems to be cooling down quite a bit. but then it gets hot again, then cool again. i guess this is the transition period, can’t wait for the beginning of winter! :) OH! and i’ll most probably be in Munich end of this month! some FS promo fest and we need to present OMGGGGG. that’s the price to pay, so can my boss stop being jealous of me? and the others, cut down the envy? thanks! happy Sunday!

happy Sunday!

episode 2 came a little late! if this was meant to be a weekly update, im sorry for being a week late :p but last weekend was crazy. guest number 1’s arrival, plus moving into the new place. and shopping for my home for (at least) the next one year! firstly i wanna say a HUGE THANK YOU to my dear guest, dunno if u are reading this or not. the shopping and lugging back of household 有的沒的s, i couldnt have done it without you. maybe can la hahhaha, but need a couple more trips la! hahaha. but it’s not just the physical work, it’s.. everything. so thank you very much! :) the first two or three days in the house was damn…. HOT. especially the first day because the air con wasnt working!! omgggg and you know how hot Taipei is right now?? worse than Singapore! my colleagues kept saying, “But singapore also very hot what!”… yaaa but at least we have some breeze! here, nothing at all! plus my apartment’s really warm by itself. they say winter won’t be too bad for me, so u can guess how warm it is inside here! and my apartment’s a loft, where cool air (if any) can’t possibly get near the sleeping area above! so the first night was spent on the sofa haha. and luckily i have a pretty huge sofa! the second day, we went to get a fan bcoz there’s no way we can spend another night in this oven. so things got better, but still hot la. the air con guy finally came on tuesday i think, to fix the air con. but upstairs is still a little warm, so am very thankful for the fan :D i guess living wise, i have pretty much settled down…? or at least about 80%. just did some chores (simple sweeping nia ahhahaa). and have some maggi mee, eggs, breakfast etc. stocked up. maybe i will get around to posting some pics.. maybe only…! meanwhile in the office, we FINALLY shifted to our new seats. we were supposed to shift on my first Friday in Taipei. so we were two weeks late. (worse than my blogging speed) finally shifted last Friday, which means i can finally start bringing my stuff to the office. most important one is my slippers!! i can’t live without slippers in the office. -.- my new seat.. im not sure if i liked it more or not. for starters, i’ll be sitting with the rest of the sports team. :/ for better or worse… we will see as time goes by.. work stuff is getting clearer everyday. (it better be la!) i am slowly getting the hang of it i guess. still trying hard to get used to the chinese technical terms but many pple have been very accommodating. many but not all haha. have sort of found myself (or forced my way into haha) a lunch group. turns out some of them are pretty new too! this group is the OAP team. all i can say is…  they are normal pple!!! 他們是正常人!! same frequency, very good! my designer and PA are reporting to work tmr. and i pray hard that they are normal pple too.. tmr’s Monday, and that means the start of another week of meetings. zzz seriously all FIC pple do is to MEET MEET MEET ALL DAY LONGGGG. and u cant just sit there and listen. u got to participate. for e.g., every monday’s sports team meeting, i gotta report on what OAP is doing, or has done for the week. u cant say nothing even when there’s nothing much.. bcoz everyone has something to say. just gotta dig into cracks and report on every small fart we make. -.-zz ok gonna end abruptly bcoz i dunno what to say liao. tata and see u guys maybe next week!

so i’ve finally embarked on a (longer) journey away from home! current location: Taipei just flooded twitter with my thoughts and realized.. this might be a better channel for my rantings haha. so just pasting everything ive said onto here.. "anyway, since im free today and more stress-free (actually who am i kidding) let me talk more about life so far in taipei! adapting is tough! dont say things like, but u have been to taipei so many times, but it’s taipei, language no problem etc etc. RUBBISH! the GM was worried about me adapting, when we spoke in SG. she said after all, holiday and work is different. i know, thats true. but it sure helps to not needing to get used to mrt maps and stuff la u know what i mean. still! holiday and work is different. my chinese is not bombastic but i daresay as compared to normal singaporeans, it’s ok-ish not bad already. (right?) but when all e technical terms are translated into chinese, it’s a huge huge headache. and during meetings with only taiwanese ard, they just ramble on and on. i would still be processing the first topic and they would be rambling on to next topic already. it’s that fast. and im on my own! no fellow colleague from same dept! the other day i was trying to bcc my colleague. i cant even find the freakin bcc button. after a long time, i finally saw it as “隱藏副件人/者” wtf. and work is a big big mess. the channel is a big big mess. i m doubling up, on stuff that i know nuts about bcoz producers never had to deal with them. bcoz those were just never in our scopes! but all thanks to FIC niao niao policy. yeah true, learning new things, but i would love to focus on my original work first. but sigh what to do? nothing but to suck it up. next: HOUSING. finding a place u like IS A BITCH. good and cheap ones are snapped up in no time. so our budgets just went higher and higher. im very lucky to finally found one which i love! (for now. i have not officially moved in yet haha) and rent is manageable, all thanks to my first 貴人!! u know how depressing it is, when u scroll through the rental site, and u keep seeing the same old (rejected/snapped up) houses! and time is ticking. first 5-6 days were madness for me. i have only been here for a week but it sure feels longer. -_- anyway my only wish now is to settle the fcking promo package which is so fcking messy. maybe i should have blogged all these instead of tweeted hahahhaha will transfer later to my tumblr. thanks for tuning in! next ep — dunno when.” wow imagine all these on twitter. sorry for the flood!! haha. meanwhile, 1st guest arriving in a week’s time! woohoo! :)
